In this age of information technology it is important that we as teachers immerse our students into this rapidly expanding world. Running a classroom website is a great way of approaching this goal. I designed this website to show teachers how easy it can be to have their own classroom website.  On this site teachers will be shown how to build their own website, for little or no cost, that will become a resource for both students and parents.

Use the navigation menu to the left to help you maneuver through this site. Each section will give you a descriptive overview about that particular topic, along with links to other resources regarding those topics.  The links are to a lot of the free resources that I use to develop and enhance my site. I have rated these sites using a  (*1star) to (*****5 star) system, with five stars being the best.

Unless you want to learn how to program, you will need to get your hands on a good HTML editor. An HTML editor is a tool that allows you to input your content and it generates the HTML code. You can use a sophisticated word processing program like Microsoft Word, which comes with a built in HTML editor or you can use or download a free one from the web. I have built a basic web page creator that will allow you to create simple web pages for free.

For a more professional website, consider purchasing Microsoft FrontPage , Adobe GoLive or Macromedia Dreamweaver. These feature rich products are somewhat expensive, but they can help you create very attractive and easy-to-maintain websites.
