Locker Crafts You know when you feel like you are digging
in your backpack at school and the next block is starting in less than a
minute? Or when you are stuffing your things into your locker, only to see
that the door is barely shutting? Here’s a solution! The next few crafts will
make your locker much neater and organized. The crafts shown below are: · Pencil Holder · Locker Organizer The first craft will be pretty easy. I
expect anybody to be able to do it. It’s the pencil holder. It will keep your
pens and pencils within a handy distance. Materials: · 1 cardboard box (the thin kind of cardboard!) · 1 magnet · Things to decorate your box 1.
First, take a cardboard
box and cut it half so it’s a rectangular prism. 2.
Then, decorate it the
way you want. 3.
After that, glue a
magnet on the back.
The second craft will be harder. You’ll have to know how
to sew. It’s almost the same as the pencil holder, except it can hold more
and is more organized. It is a locker organizer. Materials: · 1 rectangular piece of craft foam · Pencil · Needle · String · Needle Threader · Hole Puncher · Ribbon *Adult supervision recommended for children 8 and younger 1.
Take the rectangular
piece of craft foam (you pick the size and color!) 2.
Divide it into four
sections. They don’t have to be equal. Make sure there is a small section on
top. The top one is for later. (You can divide it into more than three parts,
but let’s keep it simple for the example.) 3.
Thread the string
into the needle and poke a hole from side B into the bottom left-hand corner
and pull it across the craft foam. Poke another hole. 4.
On side B, poke
another hole a bit higher than the previous one. 5.
Pull the string
across side A again and keep doing the same thing until you reach the end of
that section. For the last horizontal line, do it multiple times. 6.
Do the same for the
vertical lines, but when you get to the thick line, DON’T POKE A HOLE! Loop a
hole around it AND all the other strings! Go back to the hole you just poked,
and then poke a hole to the side of it on the backside. 7.
Keep doing it until you finish. Repeat steps 1-7 for other sections. 8.
To hang it in your locker, punch a hole in
the top section (the one we said was for later) and thread in the ribbon. Tie
a knot. Hang it on the suction cup. VOILA! |
